It is all Temporary, The settings remain as it is - until you Close the CMD console. The moment you'll close it. All Settings are gone for the Good. In a way, Windows - Resets all Custom Settings of the CMD as soon as you start a New instance of CMD in memory.

But, Still, There are some methods (or Tricks, you can say), which allows us to achieve our goal. So, Today in this article - we are going to solve this genuine Query of Changing Anything in CMD permanently.

  6. After you've made the font and its size to your liking, switch over to the Colors tab, here you can customize the color of the CMD console and other pop-up windows of the CMD console the way you like.

On the top left corner, you can choose either to change the background color, foreground or pop-text and window color. Besides these options are the RGB values of the selected option (bg,fg or pop-up). Under that, you have the color toolbar where you can choose the color for the selected option. And on the bottom are the preview panes for the screen and pop-up windows.
  7. After the colors are set, finally, go to the Layout tab, here you can customize the size of the CMD window and the buffer (scrollbar) size. I don't the think I need to explain the contents of this tab... ;)

You are smart enough to explore that out by yourself! If you can't do it by yourself feel free to make a comment about it. 💖

Although, You can also Do the Same thing by using various Registry techniques or via Batch files itself (Using Reg command), But we thought, that method will be quite mind boggling. And, takes more efforts than this small task deserves. So, Save your Energy and do things easily and efficiently. Because, its only worthy to do hard work, if the process deserves it. And, In this case - We don't think so.
