NirCmd.exe | The Legendary Plugin | By Nir Sofer

The Legendary Plugin | By Nir Sofer: Hey Programmers! Today #TheBATeam isn't gonna talk about a normal plugin... Today we're gonna talk about NirCMD | The Legendary Plugin. You might be wondering what's so special about this plugin that we call it Legendary

Well, the answer lies in the jaw-dropping parameters of this plugin. It has uncountable parameters that are not found in any other Batch plugin. Some examples are opening/closing the CD-ROM doors, changing the opacity of the CMD window, increasing/decreasing the system volume and many other amazing parameters make NirCMD the Legendary Plugin.

NirCMD can take Batch to a whole new level of Programming since it also contains some parameters not found in any other Programming Language. With plugins like NirCMD, Batch can finally gain its rightful place in the World of Programming.

Usage

The Plugin is so great, that it allows you to make a flexible and more interactive batch program in the very little amount of code. So, in a way - it is helper plugin for Batch programmers. A similar concept of Cmdwiz - The helper Plugin. So, Enough talk about its awesomeness. let's talk about its syntax. Its General Syntax is:

nircmd.exe {showerror} [command] [command parameters]

The showerror parameter is optional. If you specify this parameter, an error message will be displayed on the screen, only If an error occurs or the command failed to execute. If the showerror parameter isn't specified, when the command fails or an error occurs the command won't show a message and will continue to the next line of code. In a way, it ignores all the failures and moves on in the program.
NirCMD's amazing parameters can be found below.

P.S: Don't worry, Nir Sofer (NirCMD's creator) has provided a Compiled HTML help file which contains both the same information as below and also an in-depth explanation for each and every one of these commands so you won't have to visit this article a hundred times while coding. You're welcome :D
